This month @KankenOfficial ran a competition over on their Instagram page to create some art using the beauty that is the Kanken Backpack as inspiration. I use my mini Kanken on a daily basis - big fan right here - and couldn't pass up on this project. I kept my piece fairly simple just letting the watercolour techniques and colours shine through, and using my Kuretake watercolours to execute.
I first sketched out my bag design using my own mini, I then used this sketch to create 4 outlines evenly spaced on the page. After this I set to work on my watercolour. This piece took me around 3 hours in total to complete, and I am very happy with my competition entry.
